ACS TPCP1
This course tests gas safety competencies of an engineer in pneumatic strength testing, tightness testing and direct purging on gas installations exceeding 1m3. Covers any section of pipework, including appliance/plant pipework for natural gas, from the outlet of the ECV, LPG, from the outlet of the bulk storage vessel or cylinder valve as appropriate, other gases on consumers’ premises, from outlet of the isolation point from distribution system Note: Engineers who hold TPCP1 are also deemed to hold TPCP1A
This course is aimed at experienced commercial gas operatives who want to undertake tightness testing and purging of installation pipework exceeding 1m³ in volume. Learners must already hold one of the following qualifications: COCN1 (Core Commercial Gas Safety), CODNCO1 (Changeover Domestic to Commercial Gas Safety), Core Catering or Changeover to Catering, or Core Catering, Laundry, Metering, LPG, or Domestic. A current or changeover LPG certificate is also required if learners intend to work on LPG systems. Pre-course reading is strongly recommended before attending.
Experienced engineer who wishes to undertake tightness testing and purging of pipework exceeding 1m3 in volume, up to 16bar operating pressure for natural gas and 1bar for LPG. Those who hold a valid COCN1/CCCN1/COCNPI1LS/CCLNG1/CCN1/CESP1/CCLP1/CMA1. If TPCP required for LPG, a valid CONGLP or equivalent qualification is required.
