Course Overview

Gain your ACS CDGA1 qualification in the commissioning, servicing, and repair of direct fired commercial heating appliances. This course covers ventilation, air quality, and safety requirements for warehouses, greenhouses, and other large heated spaces.

  • Understand the requirements for commissioning direct fired commercial heating appliances

Engineers who hold valid COCN1/CCN1 + CODNCO1/CCLP1 + CODNCO1 and ICPN1

This course is aimed at experienced commercial gas operatives who need to commission, service, repair, and attend to breakdowns of direct fired heating appliances. Learners must already hold either valid Core Commercial Gas Safety (COCN1), CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety) or Changeover Domestic to Commercial Gas Safety (CODNCO1) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) (CCLP1) qualifications or Installation of commercial and non-domestic gas pipework (ICPN1).

Where CDGA1 is taken as a standalone module, learners must also hold a valid Indirect Fired Gas Appliances (CIGA1) and Overhead Radiant Tube & Plaque Heaters (CORT1) certificate dated within the last three months, or the course must be taken as part of a combined package alongside CIGA1 and CORT1.
