The Emergency First Aid course equips learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to first aid emergencies in the workplace, in line with current guidance and organisational procedures.
The programme covers the roles and responsibilities of a first aider, managing incidents and accidents, and applying appropriate emergency response strategies to protect life and reduce further harm. Learners develop hands-on competence in administering CPR, placing casualties in the recovery position, controlling bleeding, and recognising and treating shock.
Designed for nominated first aiders and anyone who may be required to provide immediate assistance in the event of injury or illness at work, the course supports safe, confident decision-making during emergency situations and leads to either in-house certification or Qualsafe accreditation.
This course is designed for all learners who want to undertake training in emergency first aid. It is especially suited for nominated first aiders and for those who might need to provide first aid in situations where an individual becomes injured, or sick, at work.
